Totu\u0219i, datele lor \u2014 publicate ulterior \u00een revista eLife \u2014 au ar\u0103tat c\u0103 fiecare sinaps\u0103 poate codifica aproximativ 4,7 bi\u021bi de informa\u021bie, dep\u0103\u0219ind mult estim\u0103rile anterioare. Calculul \u0219i construc\u021bia sunt inseparabile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scalabilitatea infinit\u0103 ca principiu adaptativ<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Din perspectiv\u0103 informa\u021bional-teoretic\u0103, scalabilitatea creierului este func\u021bionalmente infinit\u0103:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Poate genera la nesf\u00e2r\u0219it noi configura\u021bii de reprezentare, f\u0103r\u0103 o limit\u0103 prestabilit\u0103 a spa\u021biului de st\u0103ri;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00cenva\u021b\u0103 recursiv \u2014 rezultatele devin intr\u0103ri pentru reorganiz\u0103ri ulterioare;<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modelul s\u0103u de date (graful sinaptic) este autoreferen\u021bial, capabil s\u0103 produc\u0103 noi dimensiuni de semnifica\u021bie, nu doar s\u0103 adauge bi\u021bi.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>De aceea, compara\u021bia dintre creier \u0219i microprocesor rateaz\u0103 esen\u021bialul: creierul nu este un circuit \u00eenchis care execut\u0103 instruc\u021biuni, ci o re\u021bea deschis\u0103, auto-modificabil\u0103, ce-\u0219i extinde singur\u0103 topologia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>De la neuron la inova\u021bie<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Munca Institutului Salk nu se rezum\u0103 la cuantificarea sinapselor \u2014 ea une\u0219te biologia cu \u0219tiin\u021ba calculului. Laboratorul de Neurobiologie Computa\u021bional\u0103 condus de Sejnowski a demonstrat c\u0103 \u201ezgomotul\u201d stocastic din activitatea neuronal\u0103 nu este eroare, ci o resurs\u0103 computa\u021bional\u0103, permi\u021b\u00e2nd inferen\u021b\u0103 probabilistic\u0103 dincolo de logica binar\u0103.
